Italy — Tuscany • $19.95 • 88/100

Morellino is the local name for Sangiovese in the region around the village of Scansano in Maremma. The wine is unoaked, aging for 12 months in stainless steel tanks. It is deep purple, starting to show red on the narrow rim. Vibrant blackberry and black cherry aromas are complemented by notes of violets and zesty citrus. The wine is dry, with fresh acidity and fine-grained tannins. Dried herbs and spice add a savoury element to the palate. Pleasant, good value. 85% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. • LCBO Release 03/04/2017 • LCBO id#479444 • Find it at your nearest LCBOWINEONLINE MARKETING COMPANY LTD (Agent)
