CHANDON ROSÉ SPARKLING

USA — California • $35.95 • 90/100

The wine is pale salmon in colour, with a slight coppery tint. Initially the nose is a little shy, showing some toasty notes, then a distinctive honeydew melon aroma followed by gentle strawberry, cherry and lemon elements. Crisp acidity is softened by a whisper of residual sugar that adds a roundness and some weight. The fruit is riper and more forward on the palate, slightly honeyed and waxy, and then the finish lingers with gentle strawberry and drying lemon fruit. Certainly enough complexity to justify the price, with a warmth and richness that shows its west coast origin. • Tasted 2017-06-10 • LCBO id#405555 • Find it at your nearest LCBOCHARTON HOBBS INC (Agent)
