JOSEPH DROUHIN BOURGOGNE PINOT NOIR 2015

France — Burgundy • $24.95 • WD Score 89/100

A nicely balanced Pinot Noir from a warmer vintage. The wine is medium-depth ruby-red in colour, with a still-youthful red rim. Hints of wood spice, vanilla and damp earth underlie zesty blackberry, blueberry and black cherry fruit. Brightly acidic, with light tannins, the cheerful fruit on the palate is moderated by a gentle earthy-mushroom undertone. Wood is not much of a factor, and the juicy fruit lingers with the acids on the finish. Very attractive and elegant, and a fine basic red Burgundy. • Tasted 2017-11-25 • LCBO id#512574 • Find it at your nearest LCBOPHILIPPE DANDURAND WINES LTD. (Agent)
